Croeso i Fro Arwystli Welcome to Bro Arwystli
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment”. (Matthew 22: 37)
This was Jesus’ answer when he was asked about the greatest commandment. Love God and love your neighbour. We take the words that Jesus said and the actions he shared very seriously, so we believe that these are the two most important principles for us to live by – loving God and loving people.
Loving God means getting to know him through the bible and each other. It means worshipping him using words and music. Ultimately this means learning to live out our lives more like Jesus.
Loving people involves listening, serving, and looking out for the welfare of everyone – those we love and those we are learning to love. It means working out ways to serve in our neighbourhoods, schools, workplaces, and local communities.
Bro Arwystli is a community that shares in a desire to learn to live like this. It is a diverse community that includes all sorts of people who are learning to love God and love people. Whether you’ve been here for a while, thinking of joining us or just visiting, you’d be welcome!
Bro Arwystli is a Ministry Area within the Diocese of Bangor made up of seven churches under a Team Vicar, supported by a Ministry Team. Our churches are part of a larger grouping of Anglican churches known as the South Meirionydd Archdeaconry.
Bro Arwystli is a lively church at the heart of our communities in Mid Wales. We worship in Llanidloes, Llandinam, Trefeglwys, Caersws, Llanwnog, Carno, Llangurig and Penstrowed. But Bro Arwystli is far more than just a church for Sundays - we believe in doing life together and being active Monday to Saturday too! Why not have a browse through the site to see what is going on.
Services have resumed a regular pattern in all our churches, subject to Welsh Government guidance and restrictions. Please see the monthly newsletter of service details.
If you don’t usually have access to the internet or know someone else who isn’t online, you’d be welcome to receive our monthly newsletter through the post. Please contact Revd Alison by emailing broarwystli@outlook.com or on 07789 860 066 to add a name to the mail database.
